Help with agent & sales particulars please?

Hi all
wondered if you could advise please - we've had our property measured up and photographed and had the particulars through today - basically I think they'll need some work the photos were taken on a very grey rainy morning and I think the flash must have been off they look ever so dark and some details have been left off - i.e., details on our main bathroom and second bedroom. I'll have to go back to the agent to get the details right but would it be bad form to send some new photos through if I take them? Or should I ask the agent to come back and try again? I don't want to get off on the wrong foot with anyone but I really want the document to do our place justice - they are good agents and their knowledge of our development is first rate, photography skills umm not so much! Thanks

If your'e not happy with the details contact the agent . and yes I would recommend you ask for new photos too , its not uncommon , and like you say they need to do justice to your property.0

I'd definately send them some of your own photos. You'll be able to pick a good sunny day and take your time to get just the right shot. You could try a step ladder in the corner of the room with the camera right in the corner to see if that gives you much more detail.
You're paying for the details - don't agree to them until you're completely happy.0 -
Thanks both for your advice - really appreciate it

Totally agree with the others regarding doing your own photos, after all who knows the property better than yourself? Our EA took rather bland photos of our house for the details and from totally the wrong places. Im a bit of an amateur photographer and took pix of all the rooms myself from the best angles to get as much detail in as I could and I emailed them to the EA. He was very pleased actually when I emailed him saying that I had a new set of photos for him and he admitted that mine looked better (his were under exposed taken with a compact camera) Id say go for it, take some pix in good light and send them on, after all they are working for you to get the best price and good pix will make a difference.0

Get the agent to do them again! Or use your own photos. You are paying for a service from the agent and details such as awful photos and printable details don't show your property in the best light.
How many threads are there on here about 'look at this awful photo on rightmove?'/'Worst EA marketing photos' etc.
Make sure the rooms are as clear as possible of clutter, that there are beds in each bedroom and a dining table in the dining room etc so it will display usage as well as just rooms.
Get the photographer back on a bright day. The problem with most EAs photos is that a property negotiator or valuer takes them, not a photographer.
There are some truly awful photos out there. A house near me had the photos taken at night - the front view was almost pitch black and all throughout the house there was simply the reflection of the chap taking the piccies, the glare of the flash in the un-curtained windows AND they were all blurred!0 -
One of the reasons EAs send the draft brochure out to you is so you can make any changes you like before they order the hard copy brochures (as well as compliance with property misdescriptions act). I prefer it when people tell me! You know your house better than anyone, if you want something adding then that's absolutely fine, equally if we've got something wrong, we need to know. Photos-some agents have awful cameras, and if you're not happy I think it's very unlikely anyone will be offended. One of our vendors is a professional photographer and he took his own, then wasn't happy, so we took some, and we've ended up with a mixture of the two. Just check which format the EAs need the photos in, it will save a lot of time if they don't need to go back and forth to you trying to get the format right.Scar tissue that I wish you saw, sarcastic mister know it all, close your eyes and I'll kiss you cause with the birds I'll share this lonely view.0
