Major Help on Money Scam..

Hi all
Wondering if someone can help and I don't know where to turn now..
My nan is ordering cakes & biscuits from a company called Delices & Gourmandises.....she is going to win £75,000. Yeah right!!!
Well it has been approx 3 months since we discovered that parcels were being delivered from this company and it is at least 1 per day. Priced at £4+ plus £4.85p&p for biscuits and £20+ for cakes (these are only a few of the invoices we have seen)
Time and time again we have explained that it is a scam, £75k is not on it's way to you but she insists she has won this money.
Now my nan is cracking on to 80 and it appears she doesn't have memory of previous days which makes us think that our usual bright nan is 'losing it' hence ordering so many of these cakes... i might add SHE DOESN'T EVEN EAT!!!
My mother has contacted the doctor to say can she be booked in to have a check up, but they say we have to make an appointment for her & my mother to see the doctor, pretty hard to convince an old lady to go have a check up on her mental state...nothing else they can do....??
So, how can we stop the ordering???
Thanks in advance for your help

There is lots of info about this company, from a Google search

Good luck0 -
The only thing I can think of is getting her to sign a power of attorney so you can then cancel it but if she is quite headstrong she might not agree to that either (obviously doubt she would as she doesnt want to cancel but worth a try maybe) . What a shame. Hope you get it sorted out.:smileyhea0

The Daily Mirror consumer team say it is a scam, aimed mostly at the elderly. the products are poor and no prizes ever appear.

I think you do need to consider power of atourney for your gran as she sounds quite vulnerable. It certainly sounds as if she needs checking out by the doctor too. I think you just have to try to stop her writing more cheques to this company if you can.
It very distressing when an elderly relative is scammed. It has happened to us, to the tune of over £1000. Jail isn't good enough for some of the people out there.0
