Halifax CC Claim Delays

Has anyone had luck with claiming PPI back on their halifax credit card?
Sent letter on 17 December listing various reasons for the claim, and we have a copy of the credit agreement with an empty 'tick for PPI' box.
They have sent letters stating that they are delayed because they are still conducting their investigation. They have also given details for the FOS as the 8 week time period is up.
Does anyone think it is worth contacting the FOS? (Halifax have already paid back on a loan and that was dealt with quite swiftly. I have also had a claim with Egg dealt with in less than 10 days.)
Regards
Paul

Hi there Paul
Have you also checked on the above success thread?
I believe there have been much success with these and yes its right they are delayed, like most banks due to backlogs.
Just as long as the 8 weeks have passed then yes you can go to the FOS if you want to, but with one of mine (not Halifax) they were also delayed as well, if you want to discreetly give them a little longer that is up to you, for example a further 14 days and chase them up from there, it is of course entirely up to you.
Hope you hear soon with a good outcome, please keep us posted, good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"

but i am going to give it another couple of weeks Good Luck Sunny0 -
Sorry, I sent it 17 Nov, you are right about the 8 weeks. They will probably send you a letter saying "due to the timespan that has elapsed I am obliged to give you details for FOS".
Let's hope they just have a lot of claims and it is not them fobbing us off. They shouldn't have ignored those unticked boxes in the first place!!

Just to follow up; got a letter yesterday (Tue 9) from Halifax stating they have agreed to refund all PPI premiums on the credit card.
That is three wins! 2 x Halifax and Egg. This has cleared all our credit card debts with some leftover. I shall put the amounts and details in the Success Stores sticky when the details are confirmed.
Good luck with your claim, Sunny - looks like they are just a bit delayed. Thanks for your help, everybody.:D0
