Can anyone give me some advise please

Hi, I am new to this forum and I am very confused. I started my bank charge claim back in October 2007 and my claim for £10,000 was held up in court. I used a company called Bank Charge Specialists (BCS) and they phoned me early last year and suggested that I pay an extra £250.00 to them so they could secure my claim in the small claims court as well. (I paid this). I then got a call from a different company saying they had taken over all claims from BCS and I paid them another £10.00 to get my statements and put in a hardship claim for me.
Since the court ruling I have heard nothing from either companies but have received a letter from Abbey saying due to the court ruling my claim will be closed. I am a single parent in severe financial difficulties and this is stressing me out even more.
Thanks for reading this and I hope someone can advise what to do next if anything

As you are already in financial difficulties, do not pay any more money to anyone (except possibly a county court if it goes that far)

You can do all the work yourself for free... well you may have to buy the odd stamp. Follow the guidelines in the new reclaiming article.

  • Premier, I think the OP needs to find out if the company are or are not representing them because should they get any money on FH route then the company may take action to recover their cut. I think the OP needs to ditch the company prior to pursuing the claim because I would hate to see the OP sued because we failed to make sure that they were clean, so to speak, to do the claim themselves.
I have not worked for NatWest Bank since February 2009
