Is there a car train to scotland

Hi all,

Am I right in thinking there is a car train to Scotland?

I am thinking of taking a holiday in Scotland and would love to have the use of my car up there (hate getting used to driving new cars) and would prefer not to put all that mileage on, or have to drive for so long to get there.

Hi,

The Motorail service stopped running years ago.

Maybe you could try hiring one from a local dealer the same as yours. I know both Vauxhall and Ford rent cars.Dont try a national car hire company as they will never guarantee what you get unless its a top spec car with a top spec price!

Ahhh - happy days. My parents driving to Olympia in London to travel on the night sleeper to Scotland. Long gone I'm afraid.
