Uneven Plasterboard(?) in a window recess, cannot fit blind fitting - how to fix it?

Don't like the idea of

Will give you problems .
As you say, if it fits at the top , will have an uneven gap at edges,
But is it a constant slope, all way from top to bottom .
You have a problem
1) fix to baton above window , blind will cover window .
2) cut blind to fit within recess, blind will have 'gap; when down.
I would use hacksaw to cut blind.
Or scrap blind and buy curtains!0
