OK,
I am studying part time this year in Scotland, I failed a module last year and am resitting)
I applied for the loan under the sense that I was going to be full time, When i found out what happened I emailed them to tell them my circumstances had changed.
I got my loan letter through as usual, and was shocked but pleased when i was getting the full, full-time amount i had got the year before.
I have been told by a friend, who is in the same situation as me, that they got a letter from SAAS saying their payments are being stopped and they have to repay everything.
I dont know what to do, I'm so worried?
Can anyone help?
Thanks

You need to find out if they have received and processed your change of circumstance form, and if not then let them know of these changes. As far as I know part-time students do not get any funding from SAAS, and so if you have received any you will need to pay it back.0

I'm sure you wont have to pay the full amount back in one go! Just explain to them the situation!Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless. ~ Mother Teresa0

Could be the full-time course on a part-time basis thing, which does get full time funding in England. Not sure if Scottish system is the same, but this would be why you're receiving if it is. Certainly sounds that way.0
