Balance transfers when not employed.

I have recently come out of work and I have two credit cards which I am trying to balance transfer. I have never had any problems in the past but now I am getting rejected. I have got good credit and never missed a payment. Would it be as I am not employed they will not take me now. I have got good guaranteed income also.

Most likely. If your good guaranteed income is from self-employment then once you've been self-employed for a period of time you'll hopefully have better luck in the future.

Be aware that each application leaves a search on your credit report. Make one application every three months and it won't have any significant effect.

  • Thanks for reply. I am on bennefit now as I had a accidentt in work but I got a compensation award and bought a house so the guaranteed income is from rent. Probably going to have difficulty balance transferring in the future now.
