When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important:D

Update FAFF list on the cutting down thread
Try and shimmer through the snow
Order some books from DS and find a way to get them not on the normal book ordering place (amazon) as there's a few book places on Quidco
CHeck airports and forecast as the weather isnt improving supposed to be going to inverness for the weekend- at the moment I can't see that happenning cos of the snow.
    Charge phone at work

  • Hi there and hope you're all having good days so far.

    Today:
-will continue preparing for interview next week
-friend round for coffee but have HM biscuits here for that
    -turned heating off
    -reusasble nappies and breastfeeding!
-washing at 30 and on airers
-check banking, and renamed online accounts so see "debt card going down" and "emergency savings" rather than account numbers which makes it feel different somehow!
-meals all sorted, well other than cooking them!
    collect eggs from chicks

    Think that's it!
  • all this quidco talk.....

    - checked bank and had an extra 97.39 in there. Checked quidco and found its from them!! Never had a clue it was coming. Back to Sainsbury insurance I took out in May for the pets and then decided not to continue with about August. Got email to say I wasnt getting it which I was fine about and yet now its in my bank! Wont spend just yet just in case they want it back but thought that made up for Kwik fit insurance who didnt pay out.
    - use orange wednesdays to go see avitar tonight

and thats about it today.....hope you are all well (and managing to keep warm)

Hello all , I am still sulking ! This is likely to go on until I go back to work and the real world next week or I hear some better news from my solicitor (unlikely). Still , I have my health , I have my health , I have my heath.....

We only have a little snow but it is very cold, however the heating is staying off as long as possible, I am wrapped up and dd has gone out.

Not much getting done due to said sulk but heres my plans:
    • check online banking
    • do surveys
    • hokey cokey laundry
    • banana bread from browning bananas
    • meal from plan for tea , soup for lunch from huge batch made yesterday
    • complained to littlewoods as my new slow cooker arrived , they reversed my payment with voucher and stole full price from my bank ! They promise to put it back but i am waiting till they do before using it.
    • do some comps and dream of winning something , anything ...
    • List one more item on ebid as its doing so well.
Keep warm everyone , and hang on to those dreams
