Cheap hotel in London this Tuesday (11th).

I've just bought a ticket to see Scritti Politti in London this Tuesday (as in the very talented Green Gartside who made clever underground DIY punk and then morphed into clever pop and now is back with a new album etc etc excited etc
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scritti_Politti). I've just got back from holiday so it's all a bit last minute.

I've looked into rail options, but for the money, I reckon I can do a better job if I stay in a budget hotel room somewhere in London. I've had a look on the Travelodge website and it's going to be around £65. Are there any better options or discount codes?

Use https://www.priceline.co.uk. You choose the area of London and place a bid. Look at https://www.betterbidding.com and http://p070.ezboard.com/bpricelineandexpediabidding to check what other offers have been accepted. I have never payed more than £46 inlcuding tax through priceline for a central London 4* hotel.

    Try Londontown.com
    Laterooms.com

You'll do better than a travel lodge ;)

    Also try https://www.hotelscomparison.com.

They check a dozen or so of the room booking agents websites whilst you wait. I got a 4* with Breakfast for £80 per night in May so I'm sure if you drop down the star ratings a bit you'll do better than the Travel Lodge price.

In the end I went for £55 for a 3 star small hotel.

We were in London last week and had to get a Hotel room for the night.
Laterooms.co.uk is the place to go. We went on it at around midday, and got a 3star hotel in Kensington, twin room and breakfast for £35 for that night.

    Forget the travel lodges!

We were going to a concert in Hyde Park and we used Lastminute.com. We booked one of their secret hotels that is of a guranteed standard, say 4*, and is cheaper. And we got the Thistle Hyde Park right opposite so were very pleased! Can't remember prices though!

Edit: just remembered I also used lastminute to find a quiet country hotel for one night with a bit of luxury! Got a hotel called Pennyhill Park (where Dale Winton and Nel Mcandrew had their fake wedding) for half price! £135 instead of £270 - bit expensive but the place was luxury from the entrance to the drive to the massive feature bedroom we got! Unfortuantely have never found a similar deal for this place. (look herehttp://www.exclusivehotels.co.uk/home.asp?hotel=pennyhillpark&Lang=EN)
