Recently bought the Gen 2 WD player, most of the films I watch are ok, but I have a problem with some films, the Lip sync is way out.
Ive tested the films on my mates player and they work fine, he has the gen 1 version. He thinks it could be down to the hdmi lead, which is a cheapy one.
My set up is
WDTV(with latest firmware) hdmi Samsumg 5 series tv
TV Optical lead sony Surround sound stand
Thanks in advanced

Changed the settings to stereo, still the same. Ive read a lot of reviews on this product and nearly all are positive, its not that cheap either.
Any other advice?0 -
I've got the 1st gen. Love it.
I have this problem occasionally. It's usually because if you try and play a video at a higher quality than it was actually recorded in. i.e. trying to upscale a 480i to 1080i the WDTV has more processing power to do and cant do it in time with the audio.
Try downscaling the quality... see if that helps (or download in a higher quality)Marketing and web design guy. FIRE enthusiast.0 -
PS, it may be cheap. but actually works very very well
