Renovating house costs

Hi there,
I have seen a house I love, in a great location. I have viewed the property twice, and have seen it needs a lot doing to it.
It is a 1 bedroom house, with kitchen, lounge, bathroom and small dining room.
I have searched the internet but everything is very varied, but I was hoping there may have been people out there who have renovated this size property before and would know roughly what these may cost.
From what I can see it has damp, and would need a damp course.
It doesn't have any central heating, so we would like to add this should we buy this property.
It will also need re-wiring completely, as the electrics are probably 50+ years old.
These are the main things I am worrying about at the moment, and I suspect the most costly. The house is on for a very good price so I think if the work was worth doing, I will make an offer. I was wondering if anyone knew any rough costs of what any of these things may cost?
Thanks for any help

rule of thumb,,think of a price/time what you think,double it,then that will give you a rough idea!0
