Are there any places that do activity family hols in u.k? Not centre parcs - was thinking a bit more like roughing it type thing?

    I would have said PGL as well. We've not been as a family but I went as a kid and DS went last summer. He came back happy, hoarse and slept for ages!

    Considering I can barely get a grunt out of him when I ask how his day was at school, he was tripping over himslef to tell me everything he did. If you sign up for the brochure they will start sending you postcards and stuff with discounts - some of them are pretty good.
    Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

    YHA also do them. They sometimes advertise dedicated family activity holidays, but I can't see any at the moment, probably the wrong time of the year! This link is a good place to start:
