Completed Items Search

Do any of these ebay tools websites that people on here often recommend. Allow you to search descriptions (as well as titles) on completed items?
Never been able to figure out why ebay wouldn't allow you to do this. Something to do with server space or processor time? No idea.

How long back were you looking to search?

You can search some completed items on ebay - go to advanced search and type in the words you want to search for and tick the box next to completed items too.

Also, to search for words both in title and in listing details just tick the box under the main search box that says
    "Search title and description"

Then you can do what hjb suggests and look at completed listings as well using the same search criteria.

Soo, are you sure about that? When I do that I get a message

For completed items, eBay can run a title search but not a title and description search. The results of your title-only search are shown below.

Tried it with specific auctions that have completed and nope doesn't work.
I was all excited for a second there!
Thought they might have changed their system.

Just get the same message as jennifer.
Still intrigued as to why ebay prevent us from doing this. It's gotta be about saving money.

It's also wierd that ebay seems to somehow prevent google from searching listings descriptions (active or completed) but will return searches on item titles.
