Will this delete it completely from my system? I know total computer muppet sorry.:o
Also I deleted Norton many moons ago. Should there still be any Symantic on the hijackthis log or are these shared files?
I do have another problem you might be able help with. What shall I have to drink tonight. No seriously. My dvd-rw won't open. I have looked inside and all the cables are connected and the light comes on when the computer powers up. I cannot put a pin into open it as I would have to take the sides and front off to get to it. I don't fancy powering it up without these on. Anyway this is distraction from the first problem we are dealing with.:)£2 Coins Savings Club 2012 is £4

no , it will only stop is starting when you first turn the PC on

it will be easier to use Tune-up to remove them actually
start the Tune up program, then click on the "startup Manager" and then untick any item that mentions ewido
you cannot press the button to open the drive as the PC starts up ??Ex forum ambassador

check the drive is working properly by going to
Control Panel
clcik on the System Icon
then click on the Hardware Tab
then click on the Device Manager button
click on the "+" symbol to expand the CD/DVD section and make sure there are no yellow question marks
if you Right Click on the Drive and click on properties the first screen should tell you if windows thinks it is working properlyEx forum ambassador
