Anyone been to Kusadasi? (Turkey)

Looking to take the wife and kids to Kusadasi in Turkey next year, hotel (Aqua Beach CLub) looks ideal, but just wondered if anyone had been to the resort and what they thought?

I've been and wasn't keen on Kusidasi or Turkey at all.

But I know other people have been to Turkey and they thought it was great.

I will give it high marks for VFM though.

I went there for a day trip from another resort several years ago. there were boat tripes from the beach and camerl rides on the beach. I am not a big fan of camels, but the boat trip was lovely.

Hi I have not been there we go to the next resort up called cesme (3 years running this year!)but my BIL went there and really enjoyed it. It is a very British resort with lots of cafes and pubs. His only complaint was the hassle you get to go into the pubs and eaties. I gather its a good family resort with a water park and lots to do for the family. I love Turkey granted we have only been to Cesme but we find the people friendy and the surrounding area beauiful, food is really good too and its much cheaper than Greece.
But if ever I stray from the path I follow
Take me down to the English Channel
Throw me in where the water is shallow And then drag me on back to shore!
'Cos love is free and life is cheap As long as I've got me a place to sleep
Clothes on my back and some food to eat I can't ask for anything more

Went once a few years back.
Having been to Turkey many times, I have to say it was the worse resort we stayed at.
The cruise ships dock here, so it often full of people.
The best beaches are out of town, and Bar Street is worth avoiding (if you are over 30)
Kusadasi may have changed, and if you are sited out of the actual town then it may be OK
But otherwise, unless you like it rough, try Turunc/Yakilvak/Olu Deniz
These are still lively but not so poor.
If you haven't been to Turkey before, then it's different, you need to know how to say NO firmly, otherwise you will be eating in every restaurant in town, with your new 'best mate'
On the upside, the people are friendly, and in the right areas it can be lovely, there a wonderful things to see (Ephesus/Pamulkale) and the boat trips are cheap, as is eating out;)
