    The plant is spot on though. I just need to find one. Had a quite look and they sell for loads - can't see how they justify that.
    Just need to find someone with one and beg a bit.

    No,criticism was intended, but I should not have taken you for one of my ex-teachers, all of whom are long retired.:o

    I reckon an Aloe Vera might manage the summer hoildays. I never get round to watering one of mine and that's still fine after maybe 5 or 6 weeks without water. Although it is in the bathroom, so it might be getting the humidity from the air.

    Succulents are the way to go anyway. They're desert plants that store water for later.
