£16.89 interest on £7,000?

Just got my interest from January, I'm with Lloyds TSB Vantage. I've had the full £7k in for a full month although it went up to £8k for 2 days. I have only received £16.89 interest, but the month before I had over £18.

Cany anyone explain that??

Nat west used to provide interest on my ISAs for variable lengths

e.g. it might go from 30th December to 26th January which was 27 days and other months it would be longer.

    Would this explain it?

    Big deal. I have been getting 48p on £1000 a month:rotfl:.

I'm now on the look out for a better deal with another provider.

What is your interest rate? (advertised rate)

  • 4% if you keep your balance between £5-7k.

    Can have 3 accounts, so £21k @ 4%!

January is a short month for interest cos of the timing of New year which meant that some of Jan's days were included in December which was a long month. December effectively extended to the 4th of Jan (1st working day- interest being paid on the 5th)

ok. I'm going to check out Lloyds website savings section.

Would you mind saying what the account is called? The only account I see is at 4.15% 3 year Term Deposit.

You'd be better off looking under current accounts with added 'Vantage' as it's not a savings account.

    Perhaps....

    £18 x (29/31) = £16.84

Its just a normal (classic) current account to which you add Vantage as an option -so under current accounts not savings

ah, found it. Anything is better than Natwest Cash ISA at 0.5% at the moment.

    4.00% AER
(3.93% Gross) on balances up to £7,000.
