Advice re parking in London on a Sunday, please
I haven't been to London in years! (Too many people for me). I'm driving up the M3 on Sat 6th Feb and staying in a hotel (in Westminster) for one night. Hoping to park in hotel car park overnight. On Sunday, going to see Jersey Boys at Prince Edward Theatre.
My question, do I try to park my car near the Theatre on Sunday or park in somewhere like Kensington and bus/taxi to and from the show?
Any advice welcomed.

Still plenty of free parking available in London on Sunday.Happiness is buying an item and then not checking its price after a month to discover it was reduced further.0

You'll be lucky. The streets round there are one way, narrow as hell and the few bays are resident permit holders only. See http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=W1D+4HS&sll=37.230328,-78.925781&sspn=49.143157,79.013672&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=London+W1D+4HS,+United+Kingdom&ll=51.513086,-0.1302&spn=0.002394,0.006866&z=18&layer=c&cbll=51.51343,-0.13046&panoid=atWc_MzPAye4GDIKBFPkCQ&cbp=12,319.15,,0,1.34 to explore.Near the Theatre? I ask as I don't know the area at all.
Bays in the surrounding streets are the "pay by phone" bays and stipulate a 4 hour limit with no return within 1 hour, but no days or times stated, so one must assume 24/7 enforcement unless clearly stated otherwise in small print.
I'll be taking my car to London this weekend too, but will be parking in a sweet little free spot well outside the city and taking the tube everywhere.0 -
Dave, thanks for the reply! Looks like it will be parking away from the area and bus (use my free bus pass) or tube/taxi in and out.0
