ipod nano on windows media

Hi Ive just downloaded bbciplayer desktop to watch tv programmes again on 5th gen nano but my nano is not reconized on windows media as that is the only format bbciplayer uses I have been using itunes to download books ect from amazon and audible but this has me puzzled. Does this mean the nano cant get iplayer? Any help gratefully accepted

    Sorry to say you can't watch iPlayer programs on an iPod nano, at least not in a straight-forward way.

    There are some ways of getting the content, but it can get a bit technical. Google "bbc iplayer on ipod nano" and you'll get a bit of info, but it's really more hassle than it's worth.

    thanks very much for your swift reply while I was waiting for an answer I did a quick google and your right it does look a bit complicated right over my head techie wise lots of dodgy looking sites requiring downloading a converter ah well never mind nice thought thanks again

    Thanks thats really helpful I started to download it but my security gave me a warning that it was from an unpublished site I got a bit scared and cancelled my last computer got a virus sent to it. Do you know it to be safe? and does anyone know why windows media wont refresh my ipod nano in the device section?
