Excel help needed

Is there any way in Excel to have, say, the first 10 columns of a spreadsheet static but then the next 100 to scroll underneath the first columns.

So I can have say row headings on the left with some details, but then dont want to have a huge spreadsheet with 100 columns and you have to go right the way back to the right to see the heading. Can the actual data be scrolling underneath? Like a frame on a website if u know what I mean.

Select the cell at the intersection of where you want the static columns and / or rows.

Click Window, then Freeze Panes

Depending on the cell you put the cursor in, you can freeze only columns, only rows, or both.
