Connecting Dishwasher to Hot water outlet

Googled this and most say it's ok to do. Local plumber says not to as invalidates guarantee on a dishwasher.
Has anyone had any problems doing this.

From a money saving point of view will save me electric as won't require the elemnts in the dishwasher to heat up as much!

Also anyone recomend any brands, we are getting slimline one and have high street vouchers to use, only restricted to spending in Comet and Argos!

Cheers

We did it with our present Dishwasher and it has been working OK for the past 12 years.

It depends on how long the "dead leg" is as to how money saving it it is
I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.

    Hi

Don't do it - it won't wash as well as cold fill, just the same as a washing machine.
