Hi,

I'd like to buy a house and am looking at various options. One that I've read a bit about is a guarantor mortgage but my mum would be the only one I could ask and she's 62 (from what I've read, you have to be under 60).

However, she does own a couple of properties so my questions is does anyone know if she be a guarantor through what she owns already?

I'm only likely to be eligible for £150k property at the moment with savings and earnings, but as I live in London I'm not going to get much for that and would like to bump it up to around the £200k mark.

Any advice would be much appreciated.
