Gaps in floor boards

Hi All
I am going to have vinyl flooring fitted in my bathroom, however there are some small gaps between the floorboards. The house is about 150 years old & they are the original tongue floorboards.
I have been told the vinyl will sink over time & needs to be boarded with ply, however I am not too fussed about that at the mo as the vinyl was only £70.
What is the best way to fill in the gaps so it's alittle smoother? The gaps are 3/4 mm max!
Thanks

To be honest it would be far quicker and not that much more to just put down the ply rather than having to go and buy some kind of filler and then spend ages filling all the gaps between every board.
Just my 2p.0 -

Even cheaper than ply, hardboard will do the job.For every complex problem there is an answer that is clear, simple and wrong.0

To be fair there are only a few gaps that would make a big difference as you walk in the bathroom & I only want to sort those bits, so boarding maybe alittle extreme.
The bathroom has a stand alone tub & there are quite a few difficult parts to lay it.0 -
Are you not going to have to do the tricky bits anyway when you lay the vinyl? Can you lift the tub and lay the floor underneath?
If you went down the filler route, you'd have to use something flexible enough not to crack when you walk accross the floor. Otherwise it'll just come loose and drop through the gaps.0 -

I had the same problem and wanted a short-term fix, so I decided to put carpet in the bathroom (impractical I know but it is warmer!) and I filled the gaps with small strips of polystyrene, it did the trick, but I don't know if it would work for vinyl?0
