Hi folks - 2001 E39 520i SE.
As of this morning, both of my windscreen wipers have decided to stop each cycle in the vertical position instead of horizontal. This is regardless of mode, slow/fast/intermittent etc etc
Any ideas?
Many thanks in advance.

Fixed, people.
For info., a cog in the wiper motor had gotten out of synch, making the wipers settle in the wrong place.
Sounds like it is a pretty generic car problem ie. it was an identical fix to a Puegeot 406 the chap had done earlier in the week.
60 quid, pleased with that.0
