Looking for some advice

Hi All,

I have been banking withs Natwest since I moved to London 6 years ago. In that time, I had a credit card that defaulted (£250 - miscommunications and now settled just, waiting the time out) I have never been given anything but a solo card. I am trying to get my banking 100% as I recently got engaged and want to make things run smoothly for us for the future. But I am confused? Does that default affect my banking possiblities?? Will this hold me back from opening a bank account at the same bank (Santander) as my fiancee? Will I ever be able to upgrade to a better account?? I have tried a couple of times but have never recieved so much as an Switch card or an overdraft.

Many thanks

Mel

I would be very surprised if the small problem you had would have much if any bearing on what is available to you. There was one word in your message which shook me to the core, SANTANDER:eek:. Why would you want to join them? Read the forums and you will find that rarely if ever are they praised. All the best.
