Welcome - Help Required Please

Hi

I have just reviewed my credit file & I have the following Welcome agreements on there:

19/9/02 - 28/7/05
5/7/05 - 2/11/05
12/5/06 - 14/12/06
14/12/06 - 12/12/07
12/12/07 due to finish paying 12/12/10

I have paid PPI on all these loans, as I was told if I didn't take this I wouldn't be accepted for the loan and I am looking at claiming this back now, but have a few questions:

1. Can I claim back the PPI on all these agreements including the one I am still paying PPI on?

2. Can I cancel the PPI on my exsisting loan that I am still paying?

3. I don't have copies of all the agreements, so do I need to send them a letter requesting all the copies prior to sending the letter stating that the PPI was mis-sold?

If anyone can help I would be greatly appreciative, as I am very new to this & I am getting a bit lost with all Martin's advice

Thank you

    Hi and welcome.;)

Yes you can with your reasons give it a go.

If you still have a running loan and if cancelling which you should be allowed to do, make sure you do have some sort of protection in place in case, there are stand alone protections that do work out far cheaper, but make sure the policy suits you beforehand.;)

If you do not have any of the agreements, just as long as you have the account numbers for each one then you can still reclaim.
If mis sold for the same reasons on all then you can write all on one letter, but to enclose all account numbers it relates to, if different reasons for different loans then keep them separately.

More here with templates, guidelines and a checklist of mis selling reasons, you write to the ones that actually sold you the finance, they have 8 weeks in full to respond.

If you require your paperwork and do not have any docs at all, you could consider requesting for a Subject Access Request (SAR), they have 40 days to comply/send everything they still hold on you.
There is a charge of £10 postal order or cheque payment you have to enclose for this, you only need to send one SAR this should cover for all finance you have had from them.

    Hope this helps.

Good luck, please keep us posted and ask for help anytime.
