Windscreen wiper fell off!

Think it loosened when I used it when frozen  Won't do that again!
Fell off this morning (driver side) and couldn't stop so that was a fun drive...
I've googled and think I need a 19inch - peageot 206, seen them in Tescos near work but are the easy to fit? I dont have the old one on the compare how it attaches. There are a couple of garages and a kwik fit here, how much would they charge to do it?
I don't have a screwdriver or anything like that.
Thanks

Has the entire wiper arm fallen off, or just the blade?
If the latter, they are normally easy to change, and may not even require any tools to do so."You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0 -
Theres still something there that waves when you turn it on but it scrapes across the window - this looks like what fell off

Is that the blade or more than that?

That's the blade. The thing that waves and scrapes across the screen when you turn the wipers on sounds like the arm. I would also check/replace the blade on the other arm as well, it sounds like your wiper blades have reached the end of the serviceable life."You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0 -
Normally you will be able to change a wiperblade yourself. BUT, make sure you READ the instruction on the box specially the fitting diagram. One time I played around for 20 min and had just about given up on doing it myself when I finally read the instructions and 10 sec later I was done0

You should be able to fit it yourself but if not Halfords will fit it for a couple of £ when you buy from them. They also have a little book that tells you which wiper you need for each car.
You can probably buy cheaper and fit it yourself, but you might think it is worth a couple of quid for the convenience.0 -
Thanks everyone :T
The wimp in me want to go to halfords but I've got my 25 mile commute before I go past one and its snowing so I think I'll try tescos and some DIY first! Hopefully save me some pennies too

Do not go to Halfords, its a 2 min no tools job. Buy a new set from somewhere reputable such as www.wiperblades.co.uk (I think that's right) or ebay. Cheaper than Halfords.
Although yes Tesco would be reasonably priced as well, and you'd have the blades there and then, which you need.0 -
I bought some from a local motor factors not long ago for my 206. Got the old one off all right but couldn't work out how on earth to get the new one on. I thought it was just going to be a simple to do job. Instructions on the packaging were not really clear either. Ended up going back to the motor factors looking like a right prat to get them to fit them. Wish I had went to Halfords and used their fitting service now.0

I would just use the nearest garage available, under the circumstances.
It is illegal to use the car without the wiper.0 -
Didn't realise I was a law breaker. But was either that or stop the car on a 1 lane road at rush hour and walk for a new one, so doubt that would have gone down well!
Just fixed it myself over lunch, thanks for all the encouragment, it was easy! :T
