Co-Operative Clear Credit Card

Dear all,

Hope all is well,

I currently have a Capital One Classic Card with a £1000 limit however i was looking for a new card with a smaller interest rate. Please note ive had the card a couple of months, and have yet to miss a payment.

Had a look at the Egg Credit Card, however applied for this and i got declined.

However i haven't applied for any credit since my capital one card.

So i decided to apply for the Co-operative clear card, i surprisingly got accepted.

Is there any reason behind this, they also gave me a £2,800 starting credit limit.

I'm worried about the decline, will that have an affect? and also is it advised i don't apply for any such credit at all in the year. It's unlikely i am going to need to, but with this card the withdrawals are free! I did try for a Barclaycard but i cancelled the application so nothing got processed.

Also anyone know how Co-Operative customer service is? I didn't need a BT card or 0% interest card as i make small purchases and ensure i pay it all off on time.

How can i ensure any further discrepancies on my credit, please note my hours at my job have increased hence meaning my annum salary has increased will this have an effect? Also do they check this to see if its the truth as i only gave a true reflection of this. Do they check salary or do they check credit, as ive not managed to get Virgin/Egg Cards.

Look forward to the response,

Regards,
