Hi for the last couple of months i have been trying to get life insurance. I apply to a company fill in all there form/forms the write back saying we need more information from your GP after another few weeks pass i recieve a letter stating that at this moment we cannot give you a policy.
I have contacted my GP knowing that i have a disability, but she assures me that my disability is not life threatining and i have nothing to worry about, huh.
Anyway what i was want to ask was is there a company that will give me life insurance. As I hear after that a few companys refuse the rest just follow suit, which doesn't help in my situation, so can someone please try and direct me in the right way to go.
I also have a partner who is looking for life insurance, someone suggested that we take out a joint policy, would this help?

Have you asked them why they won't give you a policy.
I would suggest consulting a broker.
One of the problems is that once you have been refused then others don't want to take the "risk".
They know someone else saw a risk they didn't like even if they can't see it.I also have a partner who is looking for life insurance, someone suggested that we take out a joint policy, would this help?
I wouldn't have thought so.
They have to pay out of first death, so it doesn't help having one healthy person if the other is at deaths door (I know you're not but you see what I mean - the risk is still there).0 -

I just assumed it was to do with what my GP had written, and what there medical consultants judged.
Can you or someone recommend a good broker?
Thanx :-/:cool:  misters  :cool:0 -
Any IFA local to you should be able to help.
Although the term broker is still used by members of the public, you will not see that in use in the high street as its not technically correct.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Of course IFAs are looking to earn money.
Normally you ask the IFA to show you the research on the recommendation. This would include a list of the top 10 priced providers in order. You can then see who is the cheapest. Then the reasons can be asked why number 1 isnt been recommended if that is the case.
However, in your case, you would be relying on an IFAs contacts and experience as you are not a standard case. The pricing comparison is mostly useless as that assumes good health.
If you feel the IFA (or anyone in any area of business) is not working well for you then go elsewhere.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
