BT Contact Number?

Hi
Can anyone give me the number to talk to BT Accounts?
I need to talk to a person

A few months ago (unfortunately!) we had to have a BT engineer visit.

The problem turned out to be ours, so we incurred a charge of £99
which changed our DD to £33 but now its nearly paid off leaving a debit balance of £11.27.

Now I want to contact them to arrange for the DD to be lowered.

We only have the line rental and caller ID from BT so I'd like to approach them before they end up owing me.

Hoping someone can help me.

Thanks

Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.
