Hello all, I am having quite a frustrating time at the moment with trying to find good quality bedding at a reasonable price (the majority of it is cr4p at an extortionate price!) so can anyone recommend anywhere to buy some? either a shop or online, I really dont mind. I just want some nice bedding that keeps well, feels nice and stays looking good for more than one wash all at a reasonable price....is that really too much to ask these days?!?

Hello
I have bought bedding from
B&Q - Great quality washes good - no bobbles
Primark - as above
Debenhams - as above
Primark especially I have found great value and quality0 -
Try Dunelm Mill. They sell a vast range of colours in various fabrics (pure cotton, polycotton mixes, etc), and their own brand is very reasonably priced. I've bought both pure cotton and polycotton minimum iron sheets. They've washed well for me.
I agree that the John Lewis sheets are pretty good, and even better if you can get them during the sales.0 -
Recently bought some truly beautiful duvet covers and pillowcases for my sons from "Very". These were from the Hotel Collection in Sateen Cotton and they are so beautifully soft and silky that I am definitely getting some more! I actually just googled "Petrol Blue Bedding" and it was one of the searches that came up, and the Petrol ones are in the sale at the moment and start from about £10.00.
Would thoroughly recommend these, they are a percale quality weave and look fabulous on the beds:D"there are some persons in this World who, unable to give better proof of being wise, take a strange delight in showing what they think they have sagaciously read in mankind by uncharitable suspicions of them"(Herman Melville)0 -
Try watching QVC (on freeview and various cable/satellite channels). They are also online. They have their own luxury 'Northern Nights' range which starts from 300 thread count up to about 500. I've bought several from them and the quality is superb and very keenly priced. They get better with each wash!0

TK Maxx often have normally expensive stuff at knock down prices. As for anything with TKM though, it's hit and miss as to whether they will have what you want at any one time.
Agree with the comments about Primark- I have sheets from both Debenhams and Primark (same colour, same count cotton)- each are equally good (200 count percal cotton), although the Primark ones are about a third of the price of Debenhams0 -
I think all of our sheets/duvets etc are either JL or Laura Ashley (hopefully bought in the sale by my wife?!) but they both feel AMAZING.0

If you have access to Costco the sheets there are excellent. Not very cheap but you do get incredible value in my opinion. The only problem is choice - white or cream. The thread count has been increasing year on year and it's now up to 600 I think. I have 500TC from two years ago and it's very soft and looks as good now as it did the day it was bought in spite of being used for most of that time. I think the king-size fitted sheet was around £20.0
