Inside Track Property Investment

Options
:-/ Has anyone heard of or had dealings with a company called Inside Track who run courses on property investment?

They offer a free 2 hour workshop in various locations then invite you to go on a further course to learn more but nowhere does it state how much these extra courses cost. They also have a membership ( i presume you pay to join but again cannot find any actual prices on their website) and then offer you properties at discounted prices. Any one shed any more light on it please?

I have a feeling that it can run into hundreds of pounds if not more. Seem to remember reading about something similar in newspaper.
    "This site is addictive!"
Wooligan 2 squares for smoky - 3 squares for HTA
    Preemie hats - 2.
  • The "Workshop" is free, however they don’t tell you that much. They introduce you to (sales) people who tell you how well they have done etc. What they really want you to do is to sign up on one of their very costly courses.
I am not saying that you will not learn anything, you probably will especially if you are new to the world of Real Estate as an investment. They will also try to get you to sign up to their Property Buying Club, which for an initial fee and a monthly membership subscription (not cheap) and an extra fee if you actually buy, they will source property for you.
However you can learn just as much buy buying the excellent "Cashflow” series of books by Robert T. Kiyosaki. You need the first 4 books to really grasp what he is trying to teach, which is financial freedom
The Book titles you need are here.

    1)Rich Dad Poor Dad
    2)Rich Dad's CASHFLOW Quadrant
3)Rich Dad's Retire Young, Retire Rich
    4)Rich Dad's Guide to Investing.

Approx cost of all four is 40 pounds.

His web site is https://www.richdad.com, although his books are available on amazon.co.uk

    Good also is
Rich Dad's Guide to Investing: What the Rich Invest in That the Poor Do Not!

May i also recommend you read the following books by Dolf De Roo? He is a native of NZ, but his stuff applies very much to the UK/USA as well. I ordered these two books 2 years ago from his site and they were sent to me very quickly. The only two titles you need are.

    1) Real Estate Riches   &
    2) Building Wealth Through Investment Property

I am not sure if the exact titles are available on amazon.co.uk (i know he worked as an advisor to Robert Kiyosaki on some of Kiyosaki's titles) but it is worth buying his own 2 books, even from the website in NZ.

    His website is https://www.dolfderoos.com

The bottom line is that Kiyosaki is trying to teach people to be financial free, He argues that the education system in a developed country teaches maths, english, history etc but nothing about what all people need at many points in their life. In other words, Financial Smartness i.e which credit card to have, what mortgages are all about, how can you get the tax man to give you money & why investments will feed you, and buying clothes, a new toaster etc (he calls them DooDads) will take from you. There are just some of the many things you will learn from these books.

Finally, I read all of these books (and a few more) two years ago, worked out my own plan for financial freedom, invested in Real Estate and have never looked back since.

I also have no personal connection whatsoever with Robert Kiyosaki and Dolf DeRoo but i believe in what they teach.
Remember - minimum wage is a company's way of telling you that if they could legally pay you less, they would.
  • Thank you so much for all the wonderful ( FREE!) advice!! You might have saved me from a costly mistake I will try and get hold of the books you mention

    Many thanks once again
