Hey people ive got an interesting problem for you to help with!
My freind has managed to fall into the usual government boobie trap and forgotten to SORN her bike for nearly 9 months. Its her first vehicle and it has been off road while we have been fixing it.
Interestingly we have just realised that the documents have a typo and list her as Mrs Tina rather than Mrs Gina which is her correct name! Now I know that the law isnt on the side of a person that forgets to declare SORN, regardless of whether they received a reminder or not (which she didnt), but can we legaly use this typo on the documents in our favour? after all the fine is legaly going to Mrs Tina................

Which is probably the name on the V5c.attlihammer wrote: »...after all the fine is legaly going to Mrs Tina................
Can you please confirm this, or not?
If the name is wrong on the V5c, then perhaps there is another 'opportunity' for the DVLA to 'fine' Gina (or Tina)... not notifying them of the/their mistake.0
