Problems after having cd player fitted in berlingo

After changing cars a few weeks ago we had a newer car berlingo 1.6 2007, it had a tape player installed so after treating myself to a cd player from halfords we had it installed by them, now the display that has the clock and date and also door open warnings only works when you first start up but the clock stays at that time,does anyone have any idea how to fix the problem please.

    Halfords aren't known for competence with these things. They've done something wrong with the wiring, probably the ignition wire that turns the radio off when you take the key out. I'd just take it back and let them sort it.

    You need a PC2-32-4 harness to convert the wiring.

    Thanks for the help Ihave been to Halfords this morning and they have now ordered the harness free of charge so fingers crossed!

    What on earth did they do the first time if they didn't use the harness? Mess about trying and failing to improvise apparently?
