Ebay problems

Hi,
Some advice please.
After doing OK on Ebay since I started last year I've now run into 2 problems.
First is someone won an item from me on the 22.1.10, they have been a member since 2003 and have 100% positive feedback on a 98 blue star. I'm still awaiting payment, I sent an invoice which I don't normally do just in case they were waiting for one but still nothing. The value is £7.00 and I'm concerned that if I raise a non-payment ticket and they then pay, they could neg feedback me in revenge. Would I be better off jusr re-listing and put it down to experience ? If so how long do I leave it before I can know for certain they definately aren't going to pay ?
Second is I won and paid for an item on 28.1.10 but now it says "this user is no longer registered on Ebay" against the item. Ebays help says if you haven't received the item "within a reasonable amount of time" file an item not received dispute. OK fair enough so would you say I give it 7 days from the 28th or a bit longer ?
Thanks in advance.

On the first I would open an NPB dispute, it has been long enough
Second- I would raise a dispute with paypal, if they are no longer registered you should to be able to get a refund.0 -
Both cases just open a case. In case 2 if they are NLR you'll just get refunded you should be able to open one earlier if they aren't registered if not give ebay a ring. Case 1 after 4 days if no response you can close after 4 days get your FVF back and relist. If they leave bad feedback and they have not paid it'll get removed once the case is closed0
-
Case 2: Start your claims immediately as it's likely the buyer has been banned by ebay for breaking the rules. I started an INR case after 4 days on a recent (high value) purchase as I was suspicous the seller was fake and got no replies to my emails at all. Paypal refunded everything within 1 week of the auction ending.0

Thanks everyone for your help.
Re case one, should I have sent an email to him chasing prior to starting a NPB dispute ?
Re case two, as that was won and paid for last Thursday I wouldn't have expected to have received it yet anyway so will give it until the end of the week just it case it turns up and if not I'll start the claim. It's not a high value item.
Thx again0 -
Quick update, the item I paid for turned up today :-)
Have sent an email re the unpaid item, very polite I was so will give them until Friday before starting an NPB.0 -
Update, after starting a NPB with Ebay the buyer messaged me to ask for my bank & sort code details to pay me yesterday as his paypal a/c had been suspended. I didn't like the idea of giving these details to a stranger so said no but I would accept a chq or postal order if that was OK with him, I didn't give my address at this stage because I wanted a positive reply 1st.
I've not had a reply as yet and can close the case today if I wish if I recall correctly from the message that came up when I opened the NPB.
Should I give him any longer ?
If not, what is the next stage to do please.
Thx0 -
To do a transfer you need Account number, Sort Code and what Bank you're with. I don't think you should have any problem sending these off, however if you are concerned then of course don't do it.
If they are sending a personal cheque, make sure it goes through properly, not just transferring before you send the item, perhaps get it posted to where you/partner work etc, so they don't have a home address if you're worried about that too? All mine go to a business address.
Leave the claim open, if you close it and then he doesn't pay, it'll be hassle re-opening it. You can close it as having been sorted out after the whole transfer has gone through. Tell him that you are doing this though and say that regardless of it being left open, once it is sorted out he will get a neutral response and the claim closed. You will not give him negative response if he does pay. Ask him to leave feedback first, or just don't leave any is probably safest after
Ebay has a very good help section on this, that will be more help than me! Use it, I found it fantastic in comparison to most sites

Thx, I always thought you should never give out sort codes, a/c No etc because of security, which is why I said no to that. Will Ebay think me unreasonable now then ?
I've no problem giving him my home address but he hasn't come back to me yet.
Thx again0 -
