If your site was as honest as you claim you would do something about it, you cant simply turn a blind eye and pretend it is not going on sir.

I am not experienced on this board but I think this is an outrageous comment based on the things I have read so far. People come on here to seek advice, or to give it if they have some experience, and part of that is to share when you have had a positive or negative experience with an IP or to ask for IP info from others. The worst I can say is it sometimes descends into a bit of a slanging match between 2 opposing viewpoints (you know who you are!) but it's all grist for the mill.

I think you should apologise to Martin Lewis. He seems to be an extremely forthright and principled man, and I am sure his various web and broadcasting efforts have helped thousands of people.

Fairly outrageous alright SFJNet, I do have to apologise I suppose for my part in the recent slanging matches that have occured, taking the threads way off topic.

An unbelievable accusation from Lucane though: joined yesterday with one post to express his long held view that this board has gone to the dogs... perhaps you're not as DIME as anyone thought!

Anyone with any history of reading these boards and Martin's IVA Guide would know that there is a strong anti-IVA theme running through this website - the recent spate of accusations on here is nothing short of surreal (Thought I'd entered the Twilight Zone for a while!)

I have merely agreed with SFJ that Forever shouldn't rule out an option before she knows that it's a dead end.

I know of Ms Giles by reputation as most people on any of the IVA Forums would. This is an IVA Forum where some people may already be in and IVA or considering one - here they can get feedback from those with experience whether it MIGHT be for them or not but no one will force anything upon any poster (hopefully)

I am not promoting Ms Giles (it means nothing to me who anyone goes to for advice - which is why I have also advised that they should talk to a few IPs - it will be time and not money they are spending and will be able to make an educated decision then on who is best for them)

Some people who ask advice on this site WILL go into an IVA and this has to be with an IP - there is no marketing here - I just advise people NOT to pay for ADVICE from some companies dressing themselves up as Insolvency Firms when all they're really going to do is take your money and pass you on to an Actual IP for this advice.

Others may not be eligible for an IVA or bankruptcy might be the better option (or indeed a DMP for whatever reason) - every situation will be different hence the advice will be different ..shockingly an IVA might be the solution at times :eek:

I am with Melanie and found her and her staff to be A+ at every stage. I will tell people who I am with, good service needs to be recognised, BUT I always point people to iva.com site and have a look at all the reviews for the IP's that are posted on there, reviews made by the people who use the service. I tell them to talk to a few, after all you are dealing with these people for 5-6 years and need to be comfortable

Why do people just come on here and start to flame others for the dumbest reason, that makes no constructive input at ALL to someones problem. Go somewhere else and leave those trying to help others do just that
