No buying toiletries in February challenge!

Used up another bottle of shampoo and conditioner, Avon stuff WIBA - not sure, have another 4 bottles of each to use though
I like it but think my hair might benefit from a change.
I've got a semi confession - have just bought some GHDs (on offer naturally) and they came with a heat protection spray free. But I would have bought them without it!
I'm going to get rid of the 4 random half used sprays and serums I have as none of them quite work whereas the spray is great
Still no spends this month. Need some new facial moisturiser though, just using serum isn't enough it's all dryInitial Mortgage January 2024 - £160,000

I keep acquiring new stuff (I seem to be a freebies magnet right now)... after the amazing free Dove goodies yesterday, I was given a brand new tub of 'Dead Sea' bath salts today... They smell divine, I love bath salts and have loads of baths, so they will get used, they have extended my stash a bit though - but they were free so in my reasoning, it is ok!! :AI'm buying No More Toiletries, I'm Deluttering and I'm Losing Weight for 2010!0

just started L'occintainne mimosa body lotion, smells lovely but WNBA as it is a lotion and I am def a butter girl
went for a swim and got pins and needles down my arm as soon as I started so may have to go for physio soon
sun now out and cats sat on the bench unable to believe it!(snow forecast for sat tho )
nails now clear and looking a bit dull after wearing polish for quite a while now, maybe i should have a week off.
can't believe it is the weekend again already, hope you all have a good one
OH has agreed to take me to the cinema(1st time in months)think we will see Percy Jackson(think that's the name.........who cares its got PB and SB in it....and Ulma T....can't spell her name for OH!)and on sunday we have a tea danc eto go to so may wear my new bargain skirt(£100 down to £15)0 -
Like jacjacjac I'm a freebies magnet too! Just received a Boots dry skin moisturiser through the post this morning to test. Actually it's just what my skin needs in the cold weather so I imagine I'll get through it no problem, and keep my Avene until the weather's milder.
All I've managed to finish is an Imedeen moisturiser (from a trial, couldn't justify the price quite frankly, although it does leave my skin in fab condition). If I wasn't rotating shampoos, I'd probably have finished at least one bottle, but I like to have different fragrances, and I've also got some brightening ones (Lush and Aveda) for grey heair, so when my ever expanding grey streaks look a bit dull I use these for a while. Actually my hair's starting to look more like it's grey with brown streaks! :rotfl:
However, I haven't bought anything else. I do need some cotton buds though so will get some later today.
Oh, just remembered, used up a couple of Lush ballistics and an emotibomb.0 -
@ salesaddict - It’s the overall impression I got – reading 3 weeks of posts in 2 days probably makes it stand out a little more!
Things like you've said you really want to change, and you've done quite a lot to achieve that - giving your credit card to your o/h, carrying a photo of your stash with you, already cutting down on what you buy, and more examples in these quotes…salesaddict wrote: »Oh no, nothings wrong with it. Its just that its so expensive.
I have spent years and goodness only knows how much money on trying to find the fountain of youth from a lotion or potion.
I now realise that enough sleep, happiness, good food and plain water (yuk:() and a spf15 cream are all it takes to keep you looking your best.
Did I mention chocolate and sex too? Not necessarily at the same time:D
I was a marketing man's dream, but not any moresalesaddict wrote: »I am pleased to tell my stash is now in a new display unit. Where I used to keep my handbags.:) So it is all orderly and I will now be able to see it everytime I open my wardrobes and this should make it easier and more pleasurable to use and should stop me buying any more for at least 5 years.salesaddict wrote: »Honest injun, I saw it from the road and we had to pay a visit on the way back from Greenwich:)
I am so glad I was restrained with the S & G body butters. They are so highly fragranced. I won't be buying them again. I didn't see any sanctuary stuff in there ( or did I? was it quite old stock?) Actually I did buy quite a few other little bits and bobs. But one of everything rather than 10 so that is some sort of progress.
And don't worry I have shot myself in the foot:)
Restrained, organised, sensible about what you need - I wish I was as good!
Btw, is it just me who finds it hard to drink enough water during the day? I don't get it - I know it really good for you, and such a simple thing to do, yet I rarely do it:huh: (unless at the gym, or i've been running) I don't know why!0 -

May I suggest having a glass, on the hour, every hour, starting as soon as ou wake? It gets you in the habit. You can increase from there if need be.0 -
It was really great thanks. It is for the website apparently... I was a bit worried bacuause I am not the thinnest poerson around, but there were all shapes and sizes, so it was fine and we had hair and make up done too! I can't wait to see the finished pictures now...
I'm off to have a bath with my lovely new Dove products soon!!
That sounds like a great treat and reward for not buying toiletries - even if Dove didn't know you were doing it! What a cool thing to tell people you've done, especially when the pictures are on the site!
p.s. I need help resisting the Body Shop glitch!!!!!!!!!!!
Aaargh, the body shop glitches are my biggest temptation! I just love the Body butter, but can't stand the thought of paying £12.50 for it! I remember when the normal price was only £5... That makes me sound oooold... :rotfl:
When I finished my last tub I almost had a mini panic attack when I went to get another one from my stash - I only had 3 full ones plus a full S&G tub left, and thought that was way too little and had to buy more - how bad is that?! Everytime i see a glitch i still want to buy some, even though I know I *really* don't need it - and these glitches seem to happen a lot! There will def still be one by the time I do actually need to stock upI got the M&S foundation brush too (read a review on this forum!). Well actually, bf persuaded me that I should get their set of 4 brushes, as I'd then get 4 brushes for £15 rather than 1 brush for £8. The brushes are all really nice, and I'm very glad I bought them.
I've got so many brushes now, all from different sources, including 4 foundation brushes. I love my body shop one (love all their brushes!), but I've also got some cheaper ones that are actually pretty good. Not tried M&S, but in the unlikely event that I ever need a new one, I'll look there0 -
Hello all, just catching up again (mauybe i should just put this in mysig lol)You're right the 2True one really doesn't flake off at all and scores quite well in my absent-minded-late-night-at-work-eye-rubbing test too!:p
. I frquently do this and end up looking ive got huge dark circles and never have any sleep:eek:
Funny Bronnie, I find that I have no problems with the no7 ending up all over my face when I'm on nights either. I do rate this product despite the weird wand it has! (Even though I did poke myself in the eye with it the other day lol!)Like jacjacjac I'm a freebies magnet too!
Me too, got a full size L'oreal collagen mascara? Never used it before anyone got any comments/ reviews pls, fyim i have long black lashes but they are golden tipped, so mascaras i go for are usually falsh lash effect . Ds2 has the best lashes in our house, they are like fans and could cool a room down from boiling to cold in acouple of flutters:rotfl:.
Nab
xxYou laugh because I'm different......I laugh cause I just farted!

I just wanted to share that I think I'm in love, with the body shop brazil nut body butter, I've been using it every morning and it's heaven, it smells delish and my skin feels super soft. I'll be sad when it has finished
Oooh, brilliant! I got a few full size Brazil Nut ones (ahem) as part of the glitch recently and can't wait to try them!!!
The hatbox is being posted tomorrow and I am happy with the £25, yay!Yorkielass wrote: »
