If weight is not currently an issue for you, I can recommend the yoghurts from Lidll. The 17p ones are absolutely Lush, - but they do contain 10% fat so not good for porkers like me, sadly.Official DFW Nerd No 096 - Proud to have dealt with my debt!0

It seems to me from this post that you need to sort your emotions and mental state out before trying to reduce your debt.
This process is a very tough one, I consider myself mentally tough, but there have been times when ive become very low.
What you could desperatly use is someone who is in the same position as you to go through the same process, so you can help each other through it.
Also in reality you need to consider your diet, if you dont eat properly then your body and mind wont function properly and the money saving will become even more of a struggle.
The fags as well, try cutting own over time.
From a health standpoint (as well as money) alone they are one of the worst habits you could have, also you may start eating properly to make up for the lack of fag in your mouth lol
Seriously though good luck with your journey, you sound like you need to make a few sacrifices along the way, but if you stick around these boards then you will be fine
All the best

Thank you everybody! :T
Just got an email confirming I've been accepted for a 0% credit card so I'm going to transfer as much of my cc debt as poss to it & cancel the other cards - also clear my overdraft if I can. I reckon that will save me about £40 a month! Must remember to use Martin's tart alert...
It's scary when you look at how much interest is actually costing you over a period of time

They also sell heavily garlicked sliced meat. They also can stink an office out, and there is so much garlic, your tongue fizzes for a while after dinner. But don't get me wrong - they really are nice. If you're into that sort of thing of course.BargainHunterCat wrote:I need to earn more but I'm not really qualified to do anything,
Have you looked into changing that? Evening courses etc. Sign up when you're not working, it's cheaper/free.BargainHunterCat wrote:Does anybody have any get rich quick schemes they'd like to share?!

BHC, nothing to add except I agree with other posters - yes you do need to sort yourself out, stop smoking, start eating properly. BUT - if you are an emotional wreck at the moment give yourself a break.
You've cut spending to the minimum and if you are sick at the thought of eating then a little bit of what you fancy does you good. I had a really low spell 9 years ago, dreadful insomnia and couldn't eat, survived on glucose tablets for a month. BUT I survived, so will you. Once you're feeling better then you'll be in a better position to take the final few steps.
Chin up hon, we've all been there xA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Can I give another plug for Citizens Advice. We can look at your financial statement, and negotiate payments with your creditors. It may at least buy you some time to get yourself straightened out. Depending on your detailed statement, there may be other options open to you.
It's non-judgemental, too. Your case won't be the worst that's been seen!
Take care, hun.

Well done. Hopefully this first change will give you the initial boost that you need (sounds like it has) Good luck with the new job hunting. (and don't forget to cancel the cards as soon as you have transferred. If you are feeling low at the moment, temptation is harder to resist - been there, done that!)
