When i got married last year i went over to the Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham and went to Connicks for my gifts as i had seen what i wanted in their online catalogue. You can purchase online/over the phone but i was impatient and wanted the gifts upfront so i could get them ticked off my list. They were personalised while i were onsite and due to this could get more on each line as i were able to work with the woman who does the engraving.

I'm giving the MOB/MOG wine (flowers/plants would die as the wedding is nowhere near where either lives) and bridesmaids are getting jewellery (to wear on the day) and also a special embroidered pair of pants (underwear) each - both BMs are 25 and we're close friends (school and uni) who make a point of buying each other pants on birthdays/Christmas, so I thought they'd be nice as an extra treat...and fairly cheap too (basic Debenhams shorties plus embroidery = £16 including an embroidered pair for me and two spare plain pairs).
BM is being left to DF and FOB I'm not sure about as yet...0 -

However she is a florist, lol, so sick to the sight of flowers
Was thinking of a spa day but then we come up against the being on her own thing, etc etc, and I would love to combine it with my Dad so he goes to golf for the day and my mum in a Spa that way they can travel together, but have no idea where to start!1
HELP!!! Please lol
Thankyou
Tash - I don't know where you're based, but if you're folks can get to South Wales the Celtic Manor might be an idea - the Ryder cup is on there this summer and I read an article on my work's intranet (I work for the Council) saying that tickets are on sale for the practice days in the days leading up to the cup so your dad could watch the pro's play (I'm really not interested in golf, so didn't pay attention, but I know that Colin Montgomery & Tiger Woods are playing) & on the Thursday of that week he can also see the opening ceremony.
I think the tickets are about thirty pounds, which I thought was a bit of a rip off just to watch people play, but the boys in work assured me I was wrong.
The Celtic also has a fab day spa - really nice treatments, but a bit pricey.
hope this helps!Sealed Pot Challenge - member 1109:j0 -
Hi Bluebelle
I'm not sure if this suggestion will be any good to you, but a bride to be has just ordered some towel pamper cakes for her bridesmaids from me, also one for the mothers of the bride/groom. These are lovely and practical too! Plus you can put whatever you want inside them.
She's told me what colours she would like and what she wants the "ingredients" to be and I do them according to whatever your budget is.
Here's an example:

If you check some of the other posts, you'll see a few others too - for men, women and toddlers/babies.
Just a suggestion - lol
