This could be quite interesting. Surely any family will be running the machine virtually every day. Dangerous to ask the missus (don't want the you men lecture..) but I reckon on Saturdays and Sundays it will run twice a day and probably 2-3 times a week over and above that.
You not got a line for drying OP? My missus isn't allowed a drier...;)0 -
Or am I being naive?
Ahhh Yes............. The fact that its a washer dryer also puts more strain on the drum. Have you spoken to an engineer to find out what the problem actually is and if its worth repairingdeanos wrote:Say the average user washes 2 times a week0 -
An engineer looked at it and said it will cost £320 to repair (and it cost me £47 for him to come and look at it so £367 in all). A new one costs £500 with 3 years warranty. The washing machine I had before this one lasted me 12 years. There's no doubt in my mind that things don't last as long as they used to and I find that slightly depressing. If my washing machine fails every three years, I will spend £6000 on washing machines before I pop my clogs. I find that very depressing.0
