Soil ph testers

Anyone used one of these?

I've seen the same one for sale up to £15 so it seemed a good price.

    Yes, I'm afraid it didn't last long before it broke.
    Seemed a good idea when I bought it, now I'm not sure if it's any more than a gimmick.
    I know these PH testers aren't as accurate as the kits, the moisture meter I did use a bit for deep testing of the tomato beds, but I didn't really need it tbh.
    You have too look at the small writing, when it says, don't use this in soil with stones in it, have you got any like that, that's not brought in compost? :) May explain why mine broke.

    I wondered if that would happen. Too good to be true and all that!
    I only want to test PH levels so will stick to the kits then.
    Off to see if I can find a reasonably priced one.
