On a non-DFW note, please may I show off because I've lost 5lbs this week? Probably cos I was ill,but I bet the lack of wine was a contributing factor. I think I shall try and stay off it this week too! At least until Lost starts again - I can't wait!

    See you later, L x

:T:T:T - not for being poorly, but for loosing 5lbs!

    Today:
stayed in with poorly DS (saving money in the process
Paid off another debt due to lots of recent NS days recovering from op
rearranged fridge, freezer and cupboards to take stock of what I have in and wrote list of meals in house
written down money in and out for February so I can keep on top of it
filled in form to Family Fund
turned heating off when got up, just turned it back on again
    avoided ebay /amazon
It is only a bargain if you need it!
  • Hello everyone

    Today I have:
-called talktalk and cancelled ringback and paper bills (saving £3.75 a month!)
-got inspiration to keep going by reading people's DFW posts
-emailed (rather than called) a friend to arrange meeting up
-food all from cupboards and freezer today
-baby in reusable nappies today, no disposables
-collected eggs from my chickens for tea
-started preparing for a job interview
    -NSD
-did a review for a baby product I get to keep
-emailed gas and elec readings so bill accurate (and used much less than estimated, so hopefully a smaller bill this month!)

    Have lovely evenings everyone

Good afternon all and well done Lurleene on the weight loss - thanks for the thread Milly as always.

sooooooo today I shall or indeed have:

    • Check comparison sites on Quidco for house insurance and hopefully make whacking saving on renewal quote from existing £350 - do I live in a mansion? errrrr no!
    • Go to dentist - yes it's £16.50 for 5 minute check up but consider it money well spent and actually have money set aside to pay for it for first time ever :)
    • go and scour park over road for firewood as refuse to pay £1 for miserly bag of kidling from shop
    • was supposed to go into loft to a) measure up for new insulation and b) look for 'treasures' to post on ebay - but it's now getting a bit dark and my dad used to tell me that vampires lived up there so think I'll leave it till tomorrow and daylight!
    • sorted out knitting wools and going to start making stuff to put on ebay - fingerless gloves and baby socks are flavour of the month at the mo.
    • Emailed correct electric meter reading to Br*tish G*s - they had significantly overestimated my usage and as am changing suppliers therefore binning them and their inflated prices, I want to keep things accurate (was going to say current but that would have been an appalling play on words :p)
    Stay warm everyone

Thanks for the encouragement for getting ever so slightly less chubby!

    Really lovely picture Fay.

And Saorsie - vampires aren't really hiding in your loft, you know. They are far too busy swanning around looking all handsome and making all the teenage girls swoon.
