Harrassed and debt paid!

My friend who is still grieving over the death of her son is being harrassed by a solicitors Geoffrey Parker Bourne over a debt to T Mobile and the amount £30.
She has actually paid the £30 last year, she paid it to another debt collection firm called Moorcroft?
Having gone back to T Mobile, they can't explain where this Geoffrey P. Bourne come into it. They text her and she rings them but to no avail.
The latest thing they are going to the local small claims court, she really can't take anymore of this, there was a letter even from Northampton for a CCJ but she disputed it.
I said to pay it to get them off her back but it's the principle if you don't owe it.
I have no idea about the county claims court, what can be done?
Can she sue this stupid solicitor group?

Send them the "prove it" letter and insert a paragraph along these lines:
Whilst I dispute this debt exists on the grounds that it is not my debt I, I also dispute it on the grounds that it was paid to Moorcroft on xx/xx/xxxx.
On both these grounds I demand that you cease contacting me with immediate effect. Should you fail to do so then I shall have no choice but to contact the financial ombudsman and I will also have NO hesitation in contacting the newspapers and my local MP. Harrassing a mother over her departed sons debt, which by the way has been paid, is not only immoral it is also illigal and I consider ANY further contact from you to be harrassment and I WILL take legal action against you and seek compensation for the distress you have caused. Note that any legal action will be against your company and any named individual personally that has contacted me regarding this debt.
Tell her to STOP calling them! Unless you know a lot about debts then you NEVER EVER call DCAs or their minions.
If she lived nearby by Oxford I'd be sorely tempted to tell her to meet up and I'll call them with her because I can promise you they'd never bother her again - they are scum!DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

I would also send a letter of complaint to T-mobile. They are responsible for the behaviour of their agents and should be able to tell GPB that the debt has been paid. After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91

Sorry to hear about your friends son

Does she still have proof she paid the debt?
I would do the `prove it` letter!! See what they do after that as its quite obvious she don`t owe anything if she paid.
If it continues pop your friend along to CAB they will contact debters for you -- they did this for my mum xDebtFree FEB 2010!Slight blip in 2013 - Debtfree Aug 2014 :j
