Dove Deodorant at Boots

My daughter bought her two dove deodorants in asda yesterday at £1 each. The sa wouldn't just scan the voucher for £2.79 but entered in £2 manually. Why should all these stores get the 79p back and not the customer - after all they are on special offer.0
-
My coupon would not scan in Tesco so they manually too a £1 off!0

I phoned Dove when Boots wouldn't take my coupon and they were horrified that a company who sell their product wouldn't take their coupon. So if you have the coupon refused anywhere call them to let them know.0

No problem using the coupon in Boots Queensgate Peterborough today, bought a bubble bath at £1 and paid £1.01 in total + 8 points.0

My dove voucher was refused in Aberdeen Boots yesterday as was the 50 points on any smile product. I thought the sa was going to tear up the voucher by the look on her face - she stomped off saying loudly to everyone in the shop that she was going to get the manager. He was so patronising I nearly laughed in his face. So no dove for me and no smile toothpaste.
I had a similar experience and have sent an email to boots to complain not at the fact he refused to take the voucher he was so rude to me and was rolling his eyes at me and looking down his nose at me shouting loudly so the rest of boots could hear gggrrrrr sad man0 -
I too have emailed Boots about the way I was treated at the local Boots branch, the guy who served me was using words like Fraud and made me feel like a criminal, it was all pretty embarressing. Still he did accept the voucher but not without a fuss.0

Used my voucher today with no trouble
I did buy three other items though I got the £2.79 off no quibbles
I do think if you just buy the deodorant it may highlight the glitch too much top staff
I hope its not a loop hole they close as I have emailed it to my daughter too"Very funny, Scotty. Now beam down my clothes."
All truth goes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Then, it is violently opposed. Finally, it is accepted as self-evident.0 -

So no dove for me and no smile toothpaste.Heeding grunnie's warning I headed to another boots close by and bought a meal deal, 2 dove and 3 50ml smile toothpastes (342). SA panicked when she saw I had vouchers and called manager who asked me if I was sure I wanted to use the dove voucher since it was already on bogof and didn't I want to keep it for next time! I assured her I did want them to scan it and she looked at me like i was the idiot and did it anyway. She also tried the "you can't use acm vouchers in this shop because we don't have an acm machine" speal but let me have the points "this time". In total it came to £3.53 (£2.99 for the meal deal) and I got 74 points. Also I got 135g (big) bar of galaxy as part of the meal deal. A small victory but enough to cheer me up.
Oh and I got a skinnie(?) for this as well because total was £6.32 before dove voucher.
Must be something in the air in Aberdeen.
Wait for this one.
Second day (month, year upon year, etc.) running that Slow Coach (a very unpublic service and run by a millionaire who lives in a castle that we all have to fund) was late/didn't turn up/got beamed up to some other dimension (seemingly because the bus has an aversion to the white stuff - according to the driver). I thought she must mean milk as per the ads (I can confirm that there was no snow on the roads, unless she was driving through the fields with the sheep because that's where all the snow lay). Perhaps she meant some other, perhaps, powdery stuff - she just had to be hallucinating.
Anyhoos, gets into Boots just before starting work.
Bought the Dove deodorant. Bought the wrong size - yes, silly, but I've been busy (waiting days, hours, years even for buses and working all hours) and haven't had the chance to fully read the threads/boards as much as I normally would with my magnifying glass(es).
The txn was refunded. Wait for this. A woman with Hitleresque tendencies marched along, and proceeded to alter the refund to suit (I'm sure I saw her do the full saluting action to her fellow Prisoner Cell Block H-comrade. Yes. I saw her. I saw her with my own - or someone else's - eyes). She swiftly chopped one of my Dove APD refund values from £3.25 to 46p . This she said was to deduct the value of my coupon . Que!?! Manuel-Faulty Towers-style:rotfl:.
The exchange txn was within minutes of the original txn, and was for the same product ('any' Dove deodorant was stated on the coupon).
I pined for my coupon, but was told it had gone - vanished, and no longer applied.
Poppycock!!!!
I want my voucher back - the full £2.79 worth.
Anyone want to sign my petition!?!
Hoping the bus comes back in from some distant planet to get me in on time to go on a quest to find it tomorrow, tomorrow ... but I won't bet my bottom dollar - not yet.Invented tradition: Couponology
