Although this is a good deal in Wilkinsons, they dont scan the coupon at £2.97, so you still have to pay. If you do this at Tesco they scan at £2.97 and the Dove is £1.00 so you get 2 dove deodrants for free and 97p off your shopping!!

thanks for this ! Just got 2 at 1.00 each and coupon knocked 2.97 off my shopping:j

I had mixed fortunes in a Boots store today.Had 2 roll-ons and two sprays in my basket along with 3 tubes of Smile toothpaste (3 for 2).I handed over a coupon for each kind of Dove and 2 ACM 50 point Smile vouchers. The SA was more concerned that I was trying to use those two vouchers that she didn't bat an eyelid when the total for 4 deodorants and 3 X £1.49 toothpastes came to £2.35, and I earned a skincare voucher.
Went round again, had the same in my basket with just the 1 50point Smile voucher and the next SA said "so these Dove vouchers are only to make sure you get them on BOGOF?". I said no, the till will accept them but she was having none of it.I asked her to void the whole transaction and I'd go elsewhere.
Will try another branch tomorrow.Hey-ho this Bootsing is hard work, lol.

Yeah used at Tescos. 2 for free (at £1) and the rest off.

Is it possible to scan one deodorant and get the rest off? £1.97 that is.

I was very lucky with my SA today. I did it once with my housemate's voucher and I picked up a nicely reduced clearance Braun epilator that I was saving my Love2Shop vouchers for after I missed the half price on them around Christmas. It went through no problem and I got an extra 150 point with an over £25 spend from the machine.

Then went around again with my own voucher and picked up a moisturiser I was going to buy soon anyway but this SA handed the voucher back saying:

"These are on BOGOF anyway so it won't make any difference".
"It will to me, please scan it".
"No, it won't make any difference....*scan*.... Ooooh..."

Would love to have taken the 97p off Mr T but the spray ones make me choke and sneeze for ages.
    Make £5 a day in July - £105.33/£155

    Total debt July '09: £7,500
Proud to be dealing with my debts but not proud that they are still the same a year on.
  • I had the same problem as twinkle eyes so i took the Dove deoderants out of my basket and got them the next day in Tesco....... Boots are losing business with their strange attitude to vouchers!!!

I did this in southport yesterday, had a £5 skinnie voucher so bought some olay cleanser at £5.99 and 2 of the dove spray deodrants. The lady at the till said, these are already on bogof so do you want to save your voucher for later on, and I asked her to try it and it scanned! Really glad she did cos I only wanted them as they were free, didnt want one otherwise!
Meant I only had to pay 35p for the 3 items! Made up with that!

Im confused (sorry but still half asleep) How are they free if they are on BOGOF. Doesnt that mean you still have to buy one?

I was confused to begin with, but if you have the coupon from Dove and use in conjunction with the Boots BOGOF it means that the one you pay for is free as Boots will claim the money from Dove via the coupon, but it is a bit iffy, I used mine in local Boots and all was fine, but my mum tried to use hers in a diff Boots and they wouldn't take it(I got a right telling off by her as she has never used a coupon in her life and was only doing it because I told her too! - I'm 37!!! and still getting in trouble with my mum!!)
