I had a .co.uk domain with Lycos before they stopped operating and had the chance to change over to starto. Big mistake they are useless.
After a few problems and disagreements I can no longer access my account.
I want to change the domain over to another hoster. How can I do this without contating strato?
Ive been onto nominet website and seen the details for the domain who say it is registered with cronon de by me.

When dealing with the CSA its important to note that it is commonly accepted as unfit for purpose, and by default this also means the staff are unfit for purpose.

if in trouble trying to regain domain name ,open a 123reg.co.uk a/c [free] ,I have used for 6 years for 000's domains.
if no details there to obtain domain ,that you can understand.
contact http://www.nominet.org.uk/ to assist you
also on site you can double check your details on their 'whois' on right of screen.0 -
.coms operate of a "pull" basis. where you do the transfer from the receiver end.
Unfortunately.co.uk, as far as I can remember operate on a "push" basis.
So it's the holding isp account from which you need to work, normally.
So Nominet are the boys to talk to. They should be able to wrestle the domain name off Starto. As long as (1) your details are on domain (& you still have the registered email) and (2) the domain is not in renewal territory, you should be ok.
As above says, get yourself registered with your new domain host first before starting the transfer (don't register the domain, just get yourself an account)0
