Does anyone know who makes Murphy televisions as sold by Very, and Littlewoods etc.
A friend of mine has had 2 Murphy TV's in the last two weeks (a 16" and 19" with built in DVD Player) and both have failed to work. He is still insisting on ordering a third replacement, I'm trying to suggest he goes for a different brand.
Anyone else have problems with Murphy TV's?

Thanks for that, we tried finding out but didn't come up with anything.0

Murphy used to be a well known and respected brand name, then became known for "value" products. Bush and Murphy became one company, but the Murphy brand was later dropped. I am surprised the name has been ressurected.Try saying "I have under-a-pound in my wallet" and listen to people react!0

I got my Murphy from Woolworths online. It's ok but I wouldn't get another or recommend them. The controls are slow to respond; the default when turned on is not the tv but a hd/dvd recorder, so I then have to go thro the remote to select dvtv.0
