Windows advice needed

Hi all - can anyone suggest the best way to search for reputable local firms for window replacements and a conservatory. From reading the threads I have no confidence in or time for the sales rubbish from the large companies like Anglian etc but having decided to give them a wide berth how can I find the smaller local companies?? No-one I know near me has had any work like this done recently (we're essex - chelmsford way) and we can't afford to get it wrong!!! Any thoughts?? Thanks

my brother in law works for one in Norwich, but I know they have done jobs a lot further a field. So might be worth a ring. Not sure if I can link to the site or not.
But I will anyway and if I am wrong I am sure a mod will remove it.

Hi, I'm Essex, I've just had my windows done and we're happy with them. We didn't use Anglian either. The company we used don't do conservatories though.
I do know of one company not to use for conservatories- they've gone bankrupt (I was told twice in the last year- don't know how true that is) and changed their name although still advertise with the previous name. My aunt and uncle used them and then had problems and had difficulty getting it sorted.
