Certainly no harm in it:idea:0 -
still run hostsexpert , will reset the hosts file to default just in case
wait for AlienRik to read through that combofix log file for you before doing anything else after hostsexpertEx forum ambassador

Log looks fine, but the things combofix removed are pretty nasty so id recommend running Dr Web as a precaution ~
Download and run the FREE version of DR WEB
http://www.freedrweb.com/download+cureit/gr/
Turn your anti virus OFF
Click CANCEL to the 'Would you like to read purchase terms now?' message
Click START click OK
It will auto QUICK scan
After that set to scan the WHOLE computer and press the 'play' icon
***DO NOT UPGRADE TO FULL VERSION***:idea:0 -

For the time being just act on Browntoa's instructions.
DO NOT start downloading further stuff that others may recommend.
There are only a very few people who I would accept advice from on this forum and Browntoa is one of them (been here ages..same as me).
There are a couple of others who help out on here, and who are very good but as Browntoa has started to help you, then just follow his (massive gender assumption here...appologies if i am wrong) instructions for the time being.
Edit...aliEnRIK is another good source of trusted help on this forum
Thats me told. Perhaps it was wrong of me to interfere in the thread but the link provided by me has just been updated to deal with OP problem.

I also have the problem with redirected Google searches (and the ecrm.goo file). I ahve downloaded the ComboFix file but unfortunately it will not run on my system (Win XP SP2). All that happens when I try to run it is the system grinds to a halt - 100% CPU usage. Eventually ComboFix shuts down but without actually doing what it ought to do.
Anybody got any suggestions?0 -
you need to start your own thread , it gets confusing for the original poster
you need to download and run malwarebytes , then post the log file it produces in a new thread of your own
instructions for Malwarebytes and links in post 2 of this thread

Hi 5569KR
As Browntoa says start a new thread, don't use combofix untill instructed to.0
